What is Qalqalah?
Linguistically: shaking. Applied: a bouncing echo.
Linguistically Qalqalah means 'shaking / disturbance'. In Tajweed it is the vibration of the articulation point of a Sakin (vowelless) letter, until a strong, audible 'note' is heard. Teach it to students as 'the bouncing / echoing sound'.
