Your teacher
Dr. Youssef Shaaban Al-Ghoneimy is a pharmacist by training and a Quran and Tajweed teacher by calling. For over a decade he has taught the Quran, Tajweed and Arabic to non-Arabic speakers of different ages and nationalities, online and at educational institutions.
He holds ijazahs in the Quran through the narrations of Hafs and Shu'bah from Asim, and teaches Arabic at beginner, conversational and Quranic levels.
He founded TTQP, a program that trains teachers to teach Tajweed in English, and shares free Quran and Islamic content on social media.

Recently, I feel way more connected. My heart feels there in prayer. Before, I would say it in English, but it feels much better when it's read straight from the Quran. I usually talk to the other converts, and I recommended this class.
It helped me a lot. I was trying to learn by myself and my Tajweed was off. I didn't know how to say certain words and vowels, or how to do merging and clarity. And I know what Qalqalah is now, the echoing. It definitely helped me.

The classes may be a little repetitive, but that is what makes them easier to understand. The more you do something over and over, the easier it becomes. I am able to understand the letters and all of the harakat more fluently.
It helped me memorize the Quran and helped my pronunciation of the words. I also learned about the Aqidah and its sources.
